The owner is of the same family that owns Pacific Dreams, a small resort 400 meters south with a tennis court and a gym that you are welcome to use. There is a nearby point break where you will find no more than a half dozen people surfing at any one time.

Playa Hermosa is relatively undeveloped and is beginning to attract celebrities building homes on ocean-view properties in the mountains overlooking this beautiful beach. This is what Hawaii must have looked like 50 years ago.
