Moana Lodge is a small
hotel located in popular, but quiet Mal Pais on the
Pacific Beach Coast of Costa Rica. Just a few minutes walk to the beach Moana Lodge
is an ideal vacation getaway for couples. Moana Lodge is distinctive for
its African motif, masks and artifacts.
The lodge was remodeled in December 2006, and now specializes in catering to groups of up to 20 people. 
The hotel is comprised of 7 rooms - 4 deluxe and 3 standard, and they are surrounded by the tropical gardens and views to the ocean.
Moana Lodge has a communal kitchen. We'll serve a tropical
breakfast while you're surrounded by hummingbirds and
exotic flowers. The kitchen is also for guests to
use. Catch local seafood and bring it home for dinner! We can arrange your fishing trips, if you like.
A few steps above the kitchen is the freeform swimming pool
and jacuzzi which is surrounded by sundecks. Work on your tropical suntan during the day, or watch the fireworks like sunsets in the evening from this west facing beach.
At night the pool
area is dramatically lit, creating an exotic ambience in which to be alone, or
gather and converse with our international
clientele.
Lodge Rooms:
The hotel has four large deluxe
rooms, and three standard rooms in total. Six of the seven
rooms contain a queen size bed and a single bed.
The rooms
are dispersed throughout lush tropical gardens in three
separate buildings / bungalows.
Deluxe Rooms :
The deluxe rooms are spacious and bright and are appointed to
high standards to please the discerning traveler.
Central to the deluxe rooms are the romantic
four poster queen size teak beds with long draping silk
curtains, an abundance of cushions, and crisp cotton sheets,
which makes for a romantic getaway, especially honeymooners.
We’ve incorporated Leopard and Zebra flavours into creating
a modern stylish look for the rooms and kept to a simple but
striking two tone colour scheme.
We chose cream and rich
chocolate colours set against Leopard print in two rooms,
while the other two rooms employ a black and colonial
whitewash to complement the repeating Zebra theme.  
All of the Moana Lodge rooms have air conditioning, overhead fan, a spacious
bathroom, hot water shower, hair dryer, orthopedic mattresses,
night stand, armchair and coffee table, private porch, room
safe and fridge.
The Standard Rooms :
The standard rooms have a Costa Rican tropical flavor, mixed with some African, for a warm, enchanting effect.
 
The standard rooms are bright with beautifully white washed
wooden walls for a colonial effect with wall hangings and masks.  
The standard rooms also have air conditioning, private
porch, hot water shower, queen size bed, orthopedic
mattresses, night stand, and room safe. |
