Accomodations
are in large bungalows for two or three people. Each bungalow opens to
its own verandah-sitting room and is angled for the best ocean view
and the fresh breezes, while being well-distanced and private from its
neighbors.Primary building materials are bamboo and teak, following tropical
asian tradidions for a deceptively delicate charm not previously seen
in costa rica. No two bungalows are alike. The teak furniture is imported
from Indonesia; the antique four poster beds are curtained with voluminious
mosquito nets and cooled by overhead fans. The tiled en suite bathrooms
are partly open to the sky for showers under the sun or stars.

ACTIVITIES:
Sport fishing or a fishing trip with the locals
Horse riding: Rentals for an hour or two or a day or two. You
can ride forty miles on the beach or explore the canyons and forest
trails with or without a guide.
Trips to Cabo Blanco
The Absolute Nature Reserve is just to the south of Santa Teresa. It
was the first national park in Costa Rica and is still lightly visited,
although a new research and education center is under construction.
Many trees in the park are seen nowhere else; there is a wealth of fauna
including tropical fish, turtles iguanas and lizards, land and water
birde including nesting colonies of boobies and pelicans, scarlet macaws,
toucans and parrots - and of course many animals from armadillos to
jungle cats to three species of monkeys.(Thought the animals don't always
stay in the park and might visit you instead.)
There are dozens of surf-breaks, sand and reef, for the expert or
grommet surfer. Snorkeling is excellent; the ocean teems with jewel-like
fish. The expert swimmer can dive for lobster or go spear-gun fishing.
Be back in time to watch our world famous sunsets, though in our view
it's the moonset you'll remember for a lifetime.
