The Beach House is 5 minutes interesting walk along the sand from Playa Carmen. At the head of a long bay, it has a view of rocky tidepools fringing a lively ocean, good for soaking, wading and seeing ocean creatures. The house is of tropical hardwood with fine tile work reflecting the owner's unique mix of individualism, idealism and artisanal miticulousness. Serenity here is not a Feng Shui add-on, it's in the bones.

Downstairs the living room has fold-back doors the legnth of the ocean-facing wall so it becomes a single space with the patio, sheltered or breezy according to your mood or the weather. Off the living room is a well-equipted kitchen with stove and fridge, also a bathroom with shower. The downstairs bedroom is secluded at the rear of the house for privacy. Upstairs is the large master bedroom with a panoramic ocean view and en suite bathroom. Both bedrooms contain double beds. There is also a single bed which can be used in the living room or upstairs at your convenience. Hot water throughout is provided by solar energy.
